The only thing that counts is faith expressing itself through love. Galatians 5:6

I have devoted much of my free time at Albion to getting involved with Christian organizations and community service.  My faith and belief in God is central to how I live my life, which is why I have committed time and energy to the following organizations.

As a freshman I began attending InterVarsity Christian Fellowship Bible study.  IVCF quickly became a large part of my life at Albion as I began leading my own Bible study second semester of my freshman year and assumed the role as president as a sophomore.  It has been a blessing to see how this group has blossomed over the past two years and I am excited to see how we continue to grow and develop.  This year I will continue in the role as president and co-lead an inductive Bible study.

I also began attending the student led Wednesday night Chapel service during my first year at Albion.  This group is a great way for me to take a break during the middle of the week to focus and re-energize.  A combination of contemporary worship and a thought provoking message presented by a fellow student provide a "Party for Jesus" every week!

Volunteering at the Wildcats Wellness Center is a recent addition to my community involvement at Albion.  It is a health care center which provides medical attention to youth 10 to 21 years of age.  I act as an office assistant to the medical technician as well as perform basic health assessments.

I also have a strong connection to Bair Lake Bible Camp.  Every summer of my life my family would spend at least one week camping and one weekend working at camp.  It quickly became my second home and favorite place on Earth.  The summers before my freshman and sophomore years I was part of Senior Staff, working at BLBC as a counselor, kitchen hostess, and ACE facilitator.  Though college makes it more difficult to volunteer over the weekends, I still make an effort to stay active with the Purity and Holiness program along with other retreats.
